Conclusion and Lessons Learned

There's not a lot to be said about this project, as it wasn't too involved. I did learn a few things, though.

Like painting a room, even rudimentary woodworking is dominated by prep time. This is probaby less of a factor when dealing with wood that hasn't been subjected to filth, rough handling, and communism. Also, even greivous errors of judgement and skill are susceptible to some creative cover-up work. Finally, stain doesn't take well to laminate at all, and should only be used on laminate for the purposes of hilarity.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: AKs with blue wood look very silly, thereby achieving the goal of staining the wood blue in the first place.
